That's how I look at a lot of things especially when I have my grandchildren and encourage them to touch and see deeper than the actual subject...
that sounds really arty farty... didn't mean it like that

Nothing wrong with arty farty! I understand what you mean. It's important to really look at things that surround us. When my daughter was little we used to go for 'wild wanders'. We lived on the edge of town, there was a field over the road, all built on now. Anyway, she used to collect leaves, grass, petals etc and we made scrapbooks and collages. Still have some of them in the loft and she's 42!

I used to love doing things when they kids were young much the same as you ...
Daisy chains.. make perfumes from rose petals paint shells from the beach ⛱️ I do the same with my grandchildren but it feels like I have more time now to stop and feel and see more ... my kids range from 30 to 43 ... feel so old lol 😆

My grandson is now 14 so sadly doesn't play with nanny anymore.😪 I'm glad we've had the opportunities to play with our children and grandchildren, they are precious moments.

Only 80 minutes to Burley possibly less to North New Forest. You are motivating me!!!! Regretably, I have had very bad nights with sweats, throat, headache and insomnia. Albeit, mild symptoms. I haven't taken my LFT but will do so later today . Keep the piccies coming BB9 ❤️

Such a fab photo bb Stunning autumnal colours. We have fungi growing on our grass at the moment. Have to keep going out to remove it before grandchildren arrive. Xx

Mushrooms are in abundance this year in people's back gardens .. they are sadly lacking in the forest as people are picking the edible ones even though there is big signs everywhere saying don't pick it's disgusting .. I stopped two ppl with plastic bags full of them they have no idea what damage they cause

just greedy . They can sell them to restaurants . Just take a few of what you can eat yourself to prevent this .

Its not been allowed here for years as different species are disappearing at the rate of noughts sadly ...they will soon close the forest off in years to come ...they are already closing car parks down
Alternatively teach the children about the fungi and to appreciate one more thing that we have in the autumn . Do not just destroy them regardless. Children should not be taught that they are to be feared but to wonder at this happenening every year .
dont want to preach but so many children are taught to fear them all regardless

I would like your fungi had I not got a fungal infection. 🤣 Ie. Aspergillosis which is caused by a fungus in the air. I’m off all fungi now. 😹

that is lovely . I used to go on fungi forays in local park in autumn . It was so i nteresting . And the finds were cooked by the park rangers for l unch after the walk. The really smelly ones tasted good when still young . Inkcaps I collected from car park nearby and fried those but the best were giant inkcaps 6 inches and more across sliced and fried when young tasted like steak ! They were rarely found.
dont get rid of them all They are essential to temove rotting material from the earth . We would be buried by it all otherwise

What a great photo, lovely autumnal colours 🍁 🍁🍂 Reminds me of one I took many years ago when I enjoyed going out with my camera and was a memberof our local U3a group. Sadly don't get out much now (for wakling) and the camera is too heavy.

we have had today off so cleaned the magic dog bus inside and out ... cleaned the house from top to bottom and had Chinese for dinner🍽 😋
