Thank you.
My motherβs family was originally from Tain. The skirling of the pipesβ¦
Im from Glasgow but been South 40 years have family in Dunoon and Glasgow still..
We are worldwide really Oz NZ we are a family of 8 girls and 5 boys π
Iβm from a family of two and two. Iβm the youngest girl, although being 68, probably wouldnβt qualify as young π
Iβve not been back to Scotland in nearly thirty years. My lungs keep me grounded so now Iβm an armchair traveler.
Sending you and Stan good thoughts!
πΎπ
Im in the same position as yourself the youngest and at 65 im still called the baby ...
Thankyou so much Stan will be looked after π
They look so sweet all snuggled together. Xxππ·
Oh how lovely. It never occured to me that pigs like to nap. Never even thought about it. Thanks for this beautiful photo BB. xx β€οΈ
Oh yes they sleep snore away when huddled together β€οΈ
They look so comfy in the shade of the tree Blackbird9 Great pic and woderful tree.π
Its a beautiful old tree some branches have given way in the storms π
Great shot Bb, framed by the fallen tree. Itβs lovely to see them free to roam in the forest like that, just doing their thing x
After pannage not so good sadly π’
What a super photo! Love the framing of the branches on the napping pigs β¦ I can imagine the squealing .. π§
They make an awful noise π
One your best compositions. A sight most of us would be unlikely to ever see. Did you wear camouflage? π·
.
No lovley the pigs are free roaming during pannage season which last around 70 days ..its where they pick up acorns and nuts as they are harmful to the ponies π₯°
I didnt know that!
We learn something every day .. its weird but true ..they also only allow pigs with rings in their snouts to help with digging them out ... if the pigs dont have rings they can really do some snout damage π₯°
Ouch x
All snug and cosy they are adorable xx
They are beautiful this family πͺ
Dont they just look lovely and so nice to see them free to roam. As Greenthorn says its a sight not many of us would see so thank you for posting x
Thanks lovley appreciated π
Thatβs a lovely photo. I should be vegetarian reallyβ¦π€¨

All is peaceful!! Thank you for sharing Bb xxx
They can create bedlam though π
Aww thankyou so much thats very appreciated βΊοΈ
Awesome photo BB9! I can almost hear the squealing! I wish someone could put rings in our wild pigs' noses. The boar and pigs plow through our yards and woods like a rototiller! Uproot the shrubs and flowers and leave deep ruts to twist your ankles in. Those piglets look cute and I think it's great they have an essential job to do. The ones around here are self-employed and work a year round schedule.π¬
Thankyou ... these ones arent wild they are owned and allowed on the forest for pannage ... then when they are big and rounded up some go home others go elsewhere πͺ
π
Love that picture. ! Where was mum ?
They are on each side of the babies π₯°
Dare I admit that I have just had a bacon sarnie for supperπ±π±
Awww look at those cute little piglets π₯°
They are just gorgeous π
I just LOVE piggies! Went on a walk months ago and came across a whole load of them in a field, spotted ones and allsorts. I couldve just stayed there for the rest of the day.
