⁶Hello to you too valantine and welcome to our friendly forum. So, you live in the north of the UK, I live in the south, south Wales to be exact. I suffer with bronchiectasis and other health problems and have ben a member of this group for a few years now. During the shut down it proved to be a blessing. Besides sharing health problems and advice our members lighten our days by providing us with humorous poetry and wonderful photograps for example. Members are very knowledgeable and supportive and always willing to share useful information. It really is a very good forum so now that you have joined us why not let us know a little more about yourself.

thank you so much il get started soon ive just spent a week on steroids as had infection bllody awfull finnished steroids on friday but still getting gunge up somebody said it can take a few weeks to recover at least im still gettin stuff up ive got c.o.p.d have a nice day colin

Hello and welcome. If you are no better then speak to your gp. I also have COPD and it can often take several courses of antibiotics and steroids to clear infection. It then takes me time to recover when initial infection has gone. Hope you feel much better soon.

welcome Colin. This is a friendly site with lots of members who can give you good advice .we are not medical but can relate to our experiences . I was diagnosed severe COPD 12yrs ago .it was quite scary at first but then I realised it is not Terminal but Progressive. You can control the progression and slow it down. Many have lived 20yrs or more so really not so scary. Take care and have a lovely day . xxSheila 💕

I live in northeast corner of Hampshire. Originally from Stockholm/Sweden but have lived here half my life now (30 years).

I was born with a congenital lung problem and has since added asthma & bronchiectasis to the list. Very lucky in that none of these lung conditions really impact my life nowadays, just need to keep on top of them!
