I usually ask the pharmacist regarding impact of one medication with another.I am sure a phone call to pharmacist could answer your question.

Thanks, I had thought of that, but laid it to one side as i would only receive a generalised answer, not specific to myself. I think I may just stop the doxazosin for a short while and see if it reduces the side effects.

I dont have an answer and you need to have another word with your pharmacist or GP. Do you mean doxycycline? Ive not heard of the one you mention. You dont say what problems you are having.

doxazosin is a drug i was on previously as a treatment both for high blood pressure and enlarged prostate. since starting prednisolone for a lung disease side effects from the doxazosin seen to have increased dramatically. I am sure i have read this at some time, and was trying to confirm that.

Doxazosin does impact on your airways , so it might not work well with a drug for the lungs. Any Pharmacist can check this up for you. Or you should be able to find possible interactions on line by typing the drug into your search engine. Take care when just stopping Doxazosin as interactions are not the same as alergic reactions.

drugs.com/drug_interactions... could try using this site. It won’t be personalised but our experiences wouldn’t either. I hope you feel better soon.

Hi again shaftman , I just looked up on drug interactions it suggests it may result in changes in your BP readings if taking both drugs together, so you do need to discuss this with your GP, at the very least.
