I love that 😍 I’m quite creative and I would really like to learn to work with wood but don’t know where to start looking for tuition , I don’t drive so that’s always a problem with anything I decide to do ☹️ It’s lovely to see what can be done

My gran took up pottery at evening classes, but as you say, getting to them can be a problem.

I failed the driving test twice in my twenties then gave up . It s never been a problem because Geoff could drive and was happy to be my chauffeur but boy how I regret it now . Not only could I have done more for myself but these last few years would have been so much more pleasant for Geoff , instead of being stuck indoors he could have been enjoying trips out . Still hind sights a wonderful thing and at least the grandchildren have learned from my mistake , I always stressed they should get a license and so the three that are old enough to drive all had cars by the time they were 18 😊

Would he be happy in a side car? I gather motorbike licenses are simpler to get!! Sorry could not resist the idea, just wondering where breathing assistance would go. I do wonder if Age UK has volunteer drivers for outings?

I don’t think I could be trusted with a motorbike 😬 My grandson has just bought him a fold up mobility scooter which he brought in the boot of his car he intends to give us a few trips out now. 😃 Unfortunately he and his partner are currently awaiting the arrival of their second child at a hospital some distance away having been transferred there after 24 hours in the local hospital who then said they couldnt deal with them - not enough staff , NHS is getting scary 😧
