Hi Skyelarki, are you UK based and have prescribed oxygen? If you are you could try Pure O2 healthoxygen.com/They do holiday rentals, please be aware you will need need enough battery power to last one and a half times your flight, also you will require enough power to last the time to your resort/hotel.

Your first call should be to your Respiratory Specialist to see if you require a Fit to Fly test.

From memory I was quoted about £400 in 2018, but as it turned out I couldn’t get insurance because I had suffered from Pneumonia in January 2018, I eventually bought my own POC second hand later in 2018, but since then Covid hit and I still haven’t used it for going abroad.

I hope I have been some help.

Ian.

Hi I have just got mine I tried everywhere in the end igot it from pure 02 they were the cheapest, however it isn't cheap it cost me £500 for 10 days to canary islands, this is a 4.30 flight I need 2 batteries.you must have a fit to fly test at your respiratory clinic and it is based on this if you will be able to fly,and then it depends on who you are flying with.Good luck you will need it.

That is very informative thank you. Please could you tell me if we need fit to fly tests for short flights of up to 2 hr 30 mins. Thank you.

Yes, if an oxygen user you need a fitness to fly for all flights irrespective of their length. 2.5 hours wouldn’t be considered a short flight. Good luck. Joy x.

Yes you need fit to fly for all flights,if your not going to far your concentrator will be cheaper than mine but it depends how long your going for to.you pay so much for the first week then they add more for anything over that.Had I known from the beginning I would have went for a week.
