Hi and welcome Trevor, this is potentially good news for you as many aren't considered to be suitable for the surgery. All I can suggest is that you work on a list of questions to discuss with your consultant to aid a decision. In the meantime someone who has had the surgery may come along with their experience.

Had lung volume reduction last year wS worried but has been beneficial for my breathing. Made it easier. Don't worry

I made an enquiry on this site and received much helpful information on LVR. Just type in Lung Volume Reduction into search and alot of helpful links should come up. Good luck with your surgery. I heard it helps alot.
