Good for mum. We have our uses. Grannies are good as well. All the best for your work experience. People who work in charity shops are pure gold. Lots of mums and grannies there.

Good news about the booster! Had mine Tuesday bit of a sore arm but that's all. Well done on getting some work experience. One of the perks of a charity shop is they may give you first pick of the clothes, books etc.

Good news about your booster. Great news about the work experience too! Hope you enjoy it. Things come along for a reason. Maybe you'll find that working with clothes isn't as bad as you think.

Our son did work experience in a building society and he really enjoyed it. When he finished college he tried to get a job in one but no one was recruiting at the time. In desperation, he sent letters to everyone he could think of, enclosing his CV and asking if they would consider him for employment.

He had just ONE reply and was devastated, having sent a SAE with every letter. The reply was from an estate agent and, in deperation, our son went along, took the job and moaned about it for the first three months.

Now, he is a very successful estate agent with his own business and he loves his job!

It just goes to show that the thing you think you want most isn't always the one that works out best in the long run.

Good luck with your work experience and your booster, and keep us posted!

xx Moy

PS Well done to Mum!

Good news on both counts. Hope you enjoy the work experience, and if you get too tired just explain and I know they won't mind you leaving earlier x
