Its spider season π
Tis and not just outdoors. Had some gigantic ones in the house too π¨
I know as I have a real phobia. Canβt stand them. Xxπ±π·πΈ
Get some conkers leave them on your window sills they hate them x
I saw something like this when in South America. I don't mind the thin, skinny spiders but its the big black hairy ones that I'm scared of. I've not seen anything like this in Britain. Quite amazing to see.
errrm could be the Ermine Moth silk webs....
Check it out for caterpillars when next up close...
Great picture Have a great day and fab week ahead.
No its spider webs you can see them all waiting to pounce π
ewwww run π€£
I like the photo but not spiders. Have a lovely day and take care π Bernadette and Jack π xxxxxx
Spiders are good around the house, we shouldn't be whacking them.heart.co.uk/lifestyle/why-y...
All well and good but I don't have any of the other bugs in the house so my spiders definitely aren't earning their keep. Hubby catches them if he can and releases them outside. That is beyond me now.
That just shows what a good job your spiders are doing, thanking your husband for his kindness.π
Should have seen that coming π. I'll pass your thanks onto hubby xx
I put confers in the bath plughole, so donβt mind spiders, but donβt like them drowned in the bath.
There are no trees here, so no conkers. And yet there are spiders. How do they get here?! π±
You just got lucky. πx
π
Lucky me π
OOOOHHH!!! Never seen anything like that before! We have masses of big hairy spiders indoors atm. My son is staying with me and he hates them, constant calls of "Muuuuuuuum"!! He's 30!! πππ xx
One once advanced across the carpet towards the sofa my husband was sat on. Hadn't seen him move so fast for years (he has arthritis) π
We have one that lurks on the top stair, Billy is convinced he is trying to trip him up!! Luckily, I don't mind them at all, though so saying, I was cleaning my teeth one day, looked up in the mirror and there was a HUGE one sitting on my shoulder! I did ditch my dressing gown fairly rapidly!! ππ xx

I have been trying to do a few things in the garden today and keep bumping into webs! They are so strong they almost catapult me backwards! I go back the same route even only 15 mins later, thinking that path is clear, but no! They have already rebuilt their web and I am covered again!! π€£π€£π€£ xx
Yikes! Iβve a strong fear of spiders. My reaction is to kill it. Spiderwebs all over the plant, will plant die?
My internet was very slow earlier and I couldn't see the photo. Now it seems to be working just fine π±
Some web!!! good photo BB xxx

I am sure Skis has passed out seeing this post. I think of him when I see a spider as I know he hates them so much. I dont like them myself and cant help but whack them when they run across the carpet making me jump. I have put them outside but they come back in x
Quite an eerie photo bb8. Iβve noticed a lot of spiders too Was watching a big spider climb up its web yesterday. Must keep out of the garage Bound to be huge ones there. X
In defence of spiders they get rid of ants dont they
So come on there must be some spider supporters out there
I think they are caterpillars of a moth, we have loads along near usβ¦ I thought βspiderβ but apparently the caterpillars do this so other insects donβt eat that bush and they get it all to themselves
I have vacuum cleaners strategically placed Incase a beastie appears .......A female spider walked across the kitchen floor last evening and stopped in the middle . Suppose it's a lookout spot for a male beastie
Have seen the huge males do the same ....
Two years ago I came home from a 5day break , unbeknown to me there
was a huge beastie in the bed .......I had three bites across the strap area
on my back the next morning ...... It was sore for ages .......
On the second night I spotted it ....Yes I let out a yell, it went one way I went the other .Speed wise we were about even.
I check each layer of bedclothes every night..... .still do.
But to be sure I have filled every nook and cranny with a cement filler .
Am determined to keep them out this year.

I had a spider in my bed early one morning. I woke to it crawling up my leg. Itβs the fastest Iβve ever moved also the spider as I made him fly across the floor. Iβve now got confers by the door as I donβt want them in for the winter.
We have also had lots of our 8 legged friends inside ,think it's a race as I tenderly take outside and they gallop back inThe children when younger didn't like spiders and we had a very large house spider that would scuttle out from under the furniture.
I told them it was lost and looking for it's mum -we still have the offspring now several generations down the line that lurk and leap out with impunity on anyone scared of spiders....
Very interesting photo and beautiful in its own way! I will capture critters in my house and show them to the door, but I draw the line at spiders in my home. Their last vision is of the bottom of my shoe... then I feel guilty and apologetic. Oh my!
Beautiful photo. We in this house like spiders, especially the great big tegenarias.(Daughter looked up their Latin name- we call them tegs,) I'm only annoyed with them when they leave long threads across the ceilings, which only show up when they're dusty and make the place look squalid. Sorry so many of you dislike the poor little blighters.
I had a large one coming towards me when I was sat down. My iPad was the only handy thing so I threw it straight on top of it. Sorry spider fans but Iβve always had a phobia of them. They can stay outside but are not allowed inside.
I bought a spider catcher years ago to suck the ghastly things up so I could then empty them outside. In the last couple of days Iβve removed 8 of them. They are so horrible Iβm shuddering thinking of them. Iβm forever scanning my walls ceilings and floors looking for them. Yuck!
