One thing I've been trying to find out is if mosquitoes and flies can carry covid . Obviously living in a country where there's lots of mosquitoes and often get bitten , it's a question I ask but I've never been able to get answered .

I have read absolutely no suggestions that can be carried via flies, mosquitoes or any other bug.Furthermore whilst has been some minimal findings of animals such as cats contracting Covid there is little evidence of humans contracting Covid via this way.
I really think you are overthinking things.
Well it was something that my stepfather said last night just after he got bitten by yet another mozzy he kind of attracts them I think I have been bitten twice since being here 😂😂 but he asked me so I've been asking around and looking online . Something I wouldn't have thought possible but hey I know nothing I don't wear a lab coat 😂😂😂
Plug in mosquito deterrents are very effective if anywhere near you sells them. Have used them in Spain where they are sold in supermarkets and, when plugged in in the bedroom, didn't get bitten.

Thanks I'll have a read but I did say to my dad I wouldn't have thought they would be able to because they drink blood and the virus is in droplets when you cough and splutter , my dad worries about the sky falling down sometime but it was something to check out thanks for the heads up I'll sit and read .👍👍👍
Good morning Davey. There was a information piece in the daily newspaper paper yesterday about ticks giving you Lyme Disease which is a terrible illness to get and not very often diagnosed because it's not well known still. Even though John Caudwell. Has a few family who have the Disease and has set up a group to raise awareness. They say to keep our of long grass and if you do go there keep all access areas to skin covered up to stop the ticks grabbing onto your skin and starting to cause the problem. Hope this helps. Enjoy your day Brian
This crossed my mind when Aids first raised its ugly head, as this is in the blood then I am sure it could be transferred via mosquitoes, but I think as covid is via droplets then perhaps its not able to be caught this way. I think the plug ins are the way to go for you and your step dad. I spent a fornight in Corfu many years ago and was bitten something terrible so do sympathise with your dad x
