'As 2021 progresses, we know there’s still a lot of uncertainty about what the future may hold. The important thing for us is to make sure our fantastic supporters can still do what they love in a safe way that works for them. For any runners out there, we’ve found one particular way to do this! We have a big team of runners taking on the London Marathon in the capital this October – we also have a team who will be taking part virtually. On Sunday 3 October, our virtual team will be running 26.2 miles in their local area rather than in central London. They’ll have longer to complete the challenge (24 hours) AND they’ll still get the same iconic medal at the end! Same achievement, same reward, but at a place and pace that suits them best. We want our supporters to feel empowered, the way they empower us to keep doing our vital work. That’s why it’s important for us to give everyone a choice of how they want to take on an event! What do you think? Would you consider taking part in an event virtually?
