Yes it can but the pip is awarded on how your illness affects you not what your illness is. So you have to fill in a form explaning all the things you cant do. Probably best to get help the blf helpline has a benifits adviser so probably a good place to start. Good luck 😷
Yes, it’s definitely worth applying for, but like corriena said, it’s not based on your illness but how it affects your day to day life! Like if u can walk 50-100 metres, but have to stop to catch your breath, or when getting dressed...if it takes you a long time because you get tired in the process etc. They try and trip you up so in an assessment sometimes, so if you have any consultants letters, doctors reports etc , a statement from someone you live with or how your health problem affects you, then send copies of it all!
As others have suggested it is how your condition affects your ability to care for yourself not the condition. The best advice I can give is keep a diary for a couple of weeks noting what you need help with and what you struggle with. For example what problems you may have bathing.... Do you get short of breath, do you need help drying yourself etc. Do you get short of breath going upstairs, how far can you walk without needing to rest. You can download the PIP descriptors which gives you an idea how many points you could claim. When filling out the forms base them on your worst day.
