Doctors treating as Plurisy given strong painkillers and antiflammatories has anyone had similar please and how long before felt better please or any tips

Just come out of hospital this morning after being taken in with breathless ness and pain in shoulder back and chest and feeling very unwell

Hi Footieflames,Sorry to hear you’ve been poorly! I don’t know how long it takes to recover from plurisy but I guess you’ll need to take it gently for a while! I had pneumonia a few years back and it took about 8-12 weeks to feel properly better. Some people would say longer.
Hope you start getting your strength back soon.
Hi footieflames. I had pleurisy with pneumonia so it all blended in together. My pleurisy caused a lot of pain in my side so I had a pillow permanently attached where the pain was and it helped' also a hot water bottle. I took a very long time to recover as it was found that I had bronchiectasis. Wishing you well. Take the painkillers too. x Anita
