Hi Tinker. Yes I have flown all of my life, all over the place with bronch. Flew to the US last July. I like a seat near the loo because the change in air pressure is the best thing in the world for loosening the mucus. Even before covid I put cold and flu blocker gel around my nose and mouth and sanitised my table and seat back to keep other people's germs away.Otherwise no probs at all. Enjoy your holiday in Portugal.

Hi Tinker

Like Littlepom, I’ve always flown. Having bronchiectasis hasn’t stopped me at all. I’ve done short & long flights. Came back from Australia just before lock down.

Enjoy Portugal x

Hi Tinker

I have asthma and bronchiectasis and have been commuting abroad to Europe by plane every month for the last 10+ years. Probably around 30-40 flights each year. I can't say I have had any complications or problems with that, at least not under normal circumstances.

I did not pick up many colds either, certainly no more than the rest of my family who were in the UK all the time.

As for travelling now under Covid-19, I guess it's a matter of sticking to the recommendations and guidelines wherever you go to minimise the risk of getting infected, e.g. mask, washing hands etc. And clean off the surfaces on the plane like Littlepom mentioned!

Hope you have a good time in Portugal!

I have a holiday apartment in Madeira and fly there and also Lisbon with B.

Have been fine and carry meds in clear plastic bag in my hand so have atomisers to hand, can get portable nebulisers too.

Have not been this year as still shielding as much as possible,

Enjoy Portugal. Sopsx

How lovely.. A holiday in Portugal. Been to Lagos, Praia da luz several times. Beautiful! 😍.. Short flight so hopefully all will be good. I buy 1st defence, nasal spray before flight. Don't know if it does any good but makes me feel better!

Enjoy! 🥰
