my house is up for sale, is that ok for it to be viewed while I am shielded?
shielded: my house is up for sale, is... - Lung Conditions C...
shielded
No
I would definitely say no.
Definitely not be on the safe side, have a lovely day and stay safe 😊 Bernadette xx xx 🌈
Depends whether you are happy to put yourself at risk. There is no law saying you have to be shielded. It's just common sense if you are high risk.
No it isn’t. Prospective buyers could view online on a virtual tour set up or leave moving until you can let people look around your home. Xxxx
Even if you sat in the garden, the herculean task of cleaning the whole house top to bottom in case of contamination says NO.
Sorry, but i dont think its a good idea. You might find if you allow viewings you may end up with a one room small wooden property on a 6ft deep plot.
Even if they are not on the same room as you. They will be touching door handles
Work surfaces etc
You have come so far...dont be cavalier now.
You can ask your estate agents about on line viewing. You can takd the video on your own phone and send it to them
If your estate agents tell all the brakes are off now then he hasn't fully understood the concept of shielding
Technically, this has now been allowed. Practically, I think this would not be advisable at all. Lots of people are doing virtual viewings and it is my understanding that this has been successful for many people.
Please keep safe.
Not unless you want to disinfect the whole house top to bottom after they have gone. Who knows what they may touch ( or if they have CV) ??
AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NO NO NO!!!
It was the topic on the BBC Daily Briefing today .
I don’t think there was any mention about people who are vulnerable and shielding.
I saw it on the news this morning that some estate agents can conduct video viewings today.
I don’t know how it works, presumably you’d have to up load your Own video ?
Perhaps you could ask Dr Google.
My son is an estate agent. They have been given advice on visiting properties. They have disposable shoe covers, gloves and masks. The owner has to vacate the property (could mean in the garden) and leave all the the doors open so that nothing gets touched. People are only allowed to go into the property with him one at a time and must respect the distance and not touch anything. They will also be issued with shoe covers, gloves and masks. Nothing is 100% safe, but my son doesn't want to get the virus or spread it, so will be as careful as he can. Video viewings will be preferred.
If you must have someone come into your home, please check what they will be doing in the way of protection.
As my son says, some people have no option but to move house, even at this difficult time.
Just do what you can to stay safe.

My nephew just moved house. It was all agreed before lockdown began. He and the others in the chain, had to sign an agreement that the properties would be thoroughly disinfected prior to leaving and also the new property would have to be disinfected again prior to entry.
None of the parties was in the shielding group but they were all key workers.
Hi, definitely not.
