I haven’t been on in a long time. I have been concentrating all my efforts to getting healthy. I have lost 53 lbs. my pulmonary hypertension is under control. My CHF is stable and my lung disease is as well. I encourage you all to never give up. Exercise and losing weight is saving my life and adding on years for me. I’ll never give up hope.

No it wasn’t easy. Took me years to lose weight. I’m not done yet.

I’ve lost 40 lbs since last November 15th. It takes a real change in eating habits. It feels like my normal habit now! My blood pressure has gone down to normal now.

What a result, Bobbi6. I too lost about 18lb over the last couple of years on a suggestion by my GP when I could not tolerate most of the meds to bring down raised blood pressure (a lot less than you, but still an achievement for me when I was already a healthy weight for my height). It has worked.:)

Thats inspiring Bobbi6. I was doing gym under instruction and have a lung disease. Finding it tough going 15mins on a treadmill at 4.5 i was struggling. Also finding it hard to loose weight even after cutting down on my food. Whats your advice Please on keep fit. And also on eating bread and Potatoes. Have a good day Brian

As far as keeping fit I did my workouts three days a week. The treadmill, recumbent bike and weights always be consistent. I always push myself a littl harder each time even if it’s just one more min. Don’t give up. Exercise sustains your life even if you don’t get completely well. As far as diet goes I eat whatever I wanted but I don’t go over my calories for the day. Nothing wrong with a little bread and potatoes. But you have to have a calorie deficit every day to lose weight.

By the way I think your doing great Brian. Perhaps walk a little slower and try to endure walking a little longer each day

Thank You so much for your advice. Will look more into how to count calories. Thats what i struggle on. We cut down on portions size. Only 1 hot meal a day. 3 small spuds. Carrots and fish or something else. Thanks again
