Mum needs help if you can received food boxes from hm gov which we don't need even thou she has me and her partner that are shielding. There are more needy people that need them but we have tried stopping them to no avail anybody know how to do this as we have a regular grocery slot.

It instructs on the HM Government Emergency food package letter that comes with the food.

it says revisit: gov.uk/coronavirus-extremel...

re- register, selecting no for needing food deliveries, otherwise you will continue to receive the food parcels on a weekly basis.

Have tried three times so far.

so there is an HM Government Emergency Food Package and then there is the County council one, if yours is the latter contact your local council.

Tried that first but they told her to go to gov site will keep trying and get to the door if they drop another box but never know when he comes.

Perhaps you just need patience, government departments never act immediately.

My parcel comes with paperwork and a contact number if I want to cancel them. It does contain some things I can't use but so far I've drawn a blank trying to contact my local food bank. It would be good to let them have some of the things.

Thanks only has the websight on which I have tried might put a note in the front door so if they bring it again they might be able to do there end.

If its food parcel from government. I had a call Friday from gov.uk. saying supermarkets will be ringing me to arrange delivery slot and food parcels will stop?

Refuse it at the doorstep. I phoned our local authority to cancel ours having finally managed to get delivery sorted, but they still came to the house. The people delivering should ring/knock and wait for someone to come to the door before leaving (whilst waiting away from the door), at which point I told them I’d cancelled via the council, and they took it back to give to someone else. Had to do that 3 times, but I haven’t had anything since, so the msg clearly got back.

I have the same problem at the moment. I have twice been on the goverment site and changed that I don’t need the hamper. I’m really hoping that I don’t get another this Thursday. If I do I will ask the local food bank to collect it.

Same here. When I first registered online I said I didn’t need help with food supplies but still got a box. Since then I’ve contacted the central hub and my local council several times and although people say they’ve made a note, they still arrive. I think they’re probably so busy that cancelling the deliveries is a low priority 🙂

I have had this problem and a friend told me to catch the delivery man and he can cancel it for you as the website doesn't work. I shall have to do this on Friday. Good luck
