Help food parcels
It instructs on the HM Government Emergency food package letter that comes with the food.
it says revisit: gov.uk/coronavirus-extremel...
re- register, selecting no for needing food deliveries, otherwise you will continue to receive the food parcels on a weekly basis.
I went back to the Government email that i first filled in and changed the need help bit to dont need help i hope this works
Pokermon if you tell your mum to go on the government website where she registerd there is an option to say you no longer need a food parcel.hope that helps.
Have been on there and filled it in still got another
I contacted my local food bank and they picked up the food boxes from me. I cannot stop the delivery either I have tried.
What a good idea thanks will tell her.
My parcel comes with paperwork and a contact number if I want to cancel them. It does contain some things I can't use but so far I've drawn a blank trying to contact my local food bank. It would be good to let them have some of the things.
If its food parcel from government. I had a call Friday from gov.uk. saying supermarkets will be ringing me to arrange delivery slot and food parcels will stop?
Refuse it at the doorstep. I phoned our local authority to cancel ours having finally managed to get delivery sorted, but they still came to the house. The people delivering should ring/knock and wait for someone to come to the door before leaving (whilst waiting away from the door), at which point I told them I’d cancelled via the council, and they took it back to give to someone else. Had to do that 3 times, but I haven’t had anything since, so the msg clearly got back.
I have the same problem at the moment. I have twice been on the goverment site and changed that I don’t need the hamper. I’m really hoping that I don’t get another this Thursday. If I do I will ask the local food bank to collect it.
Same here. When I first registered online I said I didn’t need help with food supplies but still got a box. Since then I’ve contacted the central hub and my local council several times and although people say they’ve made a note, they still arrive. I think they’re probably so busy that cancelling the deliveries is a low priority 🙂
Hi I think to stop it go into, Gov.org look at corona virus Shielding and go thro the questions and im sure it says opt out try it. x
I have had this problem and a friend told me to catch the delivery man and he can cancel it for you as the website doesn't work. I shall have to do this on Friday. Good luck
