I would imagine you would be treated in much the same way as any other patient infected with covid 19 but given your higher risks of complications closer monitoring of your condition would take place so that if you require more intensive treatment they are ready to react to your needs.

Are you such a patient,if so have you discussed this with your attending nurses and physicians?if so i might add that none of us on here are in any way qualified to tell you what procedures need to be followed for any one individual but i do of course hope that you recover very very soon.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery....

Basically they would treat you symptomatically. Give paracetamol for temperature. Basic observations of blood pressure, pulse, temperature and obviously blood oxygen levels. Nobody would even think about ventilation unless it was absolutely necessary. Most virus patients may need oxygen support. I had bilateral pneumonia and sepsis but only required oxygen support. I was in intensive care but be violation was not used. There are risks to ventilation and it is only used if there is no other alternatives.

I guess the only thing at present they can do is wait for your immune response to kick in and reduce the viral load. however, they will keep you in close watch as they want to avoid the excessive immune response.

once you attained a decrease in viral load and non-infectious phase you will be treated as an outpatient.

Are they adopting the hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin treatment?

Are they adopting any strategy to make you non-infectious early?

I hope you recover soon, we need more answers from you. Keep us updated

I pray for your early recovery
