I am so sorry you feel like this and with the worry about the virus it must be horrible for you. Remember to drink plenty of fluids. Your doing the right thing with the paracetamol.. hopefully you will start to feel better soon. If you do start to feel worse do not be afraid to ring 111 again.

in reply toMoolies

It doesn't actually sound like your have Coronavirus, 111 seemed to think you don't also but have a telephone conversation with you GP and they will go through your symptoms with you and put your mind at rest and advise and prescribe as needed.

It is so hard and imagine frightening at any sign of fever, cough, body aching, sickness which are only few of the symptoms I get when down with Bronchiectasis!

It is very confusing but please keep calm and you are doing all the right things. Everyone on the forum will help as much as we can.

Lots of fluid and try to eat very little if you can, grapes, blueberries or soup if you can manage as you need nourishment.

Take care and I hope you feel better soon after some rest.

🌈X

Hi sweetie,

I think the worry of watching the news etc is making us all feel worst. I was in bed all day yesterday and very productive cough. I have been doing all of the above and hope it passes without reaching for my rescue pack. I don't think I made myself ill but have not had good sleep for over a week now so my immune has hit rock bottom, it's not as if I have been outside so haven't picked up anything out there.

It sounds as if you are being well cared for, just carry on what you are doing and rest, lots of just plain hot water and soups, lots of warming food and drink.

I am trying to get out of bed to spend time with my girls but not going to lie, it is effort but laying in bed is hurting my back.

I hope you feel better soon and think positive and clear your mind of any negativity.

Tc X

Thanks sweetie I try to get up my legs are like jelly and I feel very nauseous almost like poison and it’s quite scary not really sure to think a bit breathless too but not coughing anyway I wish you better darling and enjoy your time with your girls my friends are making cakes and bread🙏

So sorry to hear, it will get better, I get like that when bed bound, shaking because the muscles haven't been used, it is normal.

Do call 111 if you don't improve by tomorrow say, just for someone professional to hear your symptoms. I think it is so easy to self diagnose ourselves living with these conditions and diseases and we tend to put up with it and carry on, but you know your own body and if something isn't right.

Lovely friends you have, enjoy the goodies and I am sending you lots of well wishes. Tc XX

If you've recently had a lung exacerbation, it's entirely possible you have what used to be called post viral fatigue syndrome. After all, when you're ill, you use up a lot of energy, and it takes time to recover.

For instance, for every one degree C temperature rise in a fever, you use 10% more energy and, since you don't feel like eating, it's not surprising you feel tired! My wife and I have had coughs and colds for over a month now, with no sign of them going, and we feel pretty exhausted.

I think with the coronavirus pandemic we forget that the other common colds and flu are still about, and we are getting the usual ailments - and the worry doesn't help much either!

Hope you make a full recovery soon

I know everybody suddenly has coronavirus but there’s everything else around I just wish I could get tested as I’ve been around my mum which makes me feel dreadful when I saw my mum obviously I had no symptoms I just felt a little bit rundown at the very slight sore throat but nothing much I’m really hoping now I haven’t passed anything on🥺

Certainly doesn't sound much like it - most people seem to know pretty quickly. Guess we'd all like to be tested, just to take away the anxiety, but that's 67m of us and it seems reasonable to prioritise in hospitals. The antibody kits should start to appear shortly and I imagine we'll all be offered testing in due course.

Yes I think you’re right I’ve spoken to 111 and my doctor and then 90% sure I’ve got it I’ve got so many symptoms now they change every day I feel like I’ve been run over by a bus 😷
