Useful for those who have difficulty reading as its quite large display. What I would like to know is some peak figures of how long it takes to filter out of the area with reduced contact , what services are available to those who are quaranteened through no fault of their own., and the effects on care of those who need it. Badbessie if you find any info I would appreciate it please to pass on to other isolated older people . Thank you x

Sadly there are too many factors to try and predict how fast this horrible disease will dampen down in each area. In my area the village as it's own neighbourhood watch site. Over the last week. Local shops have started to use it to advertise telephone numbers to ring if you require basics and are in isolation. There was plans for a community group to be established in may to do various tasks for the elderly. Due to the present situation that as already started. Basically they are taking in prescriptions etc. They are building up a list of those in isolation and every so often will be ringing them up to see how they are and if they need anything. They are also ensuring that information about new procedures etc for seeing GPs. Gets to those without computer skills.. In my area it is very much a local effort. I have a niece who works as a social worker in care of the elderly in the community and see if there is any specific information that could be of use to you. However anything that is happening locally is either voluntary or via local council. The only thing I can suggest is contacting your local council for information about groups or organisations that could help those isolated.

Thank you for this. I have printed the poster and am displaying it in my front porch which is right on a public footpath so can easily be seen by passers by. Let's hope the message starts to sink in, I know too many people not taking this seriously enough.
