Try to avoid products with bleach. And air fresheners and plugin air fresheners much as we love them they dont suit all people who have copd.

Thank you. Yes I know, but am lost as to what I can use to kill bacteria/germs. I was such a bleach queen, my house feels so unsafe to me now as i can't use bleach. So anxious xxx

I use the Enjo system from Austria. Its expensive to set up but I have not bought a cleaning product for 21/2 years. Everything is done with cloths and water. The research show it is as good as if not better than any of the cleaning products out there and much much better for the environment and our own health. I do use the occasional squirt of washing up liquid for very greasy things but otherwise the cleaning section of the supermarket never sees me. Check it out.

Hello and welcome 😊 Have you tried natural alternatives like the Bio D range? They say they kill germs. There's a toilet cleaner and multi purpose sanitizer as well as several other cleaning products. 🚽

I know, I guess I'm a bit conditioned with my bleach. Been using that and disenfectant for what seems like forever and no matter how much I clean now just doesn't feel germ free to me. It's not just because of this virus it's because I've only recently learned through attending the pulmonary rehab course that I should stay away if poss from people with colds/flu/viral infections etc. I have two small grandchildren that come here twice a week, usually with runny noses bless them, just looking for good alternative bacteria/germ killing products xxx

I have just bought some cleaning products from amazon called Alkimi, they are all natural non allergenic come for all different purposes. The bathroom one is eculiptus and clove and smells lovely. I've not reacted to them, so worth having a look at. X

I use Koh cleaning product mainly one product safe for me and the environment I pop in a capful of zoflora and shake the bottle. I do use bleach and antibacterial spray as I don’t get any symptoms but the Koh is one product

I use natural products for cleaning and I always use a damp cloth to dust with. We can't be totally germ free but we can make sure our homes are as germ free as possible. Have a lovely day and take care of yourself 😊 Bernadette xx

Hi & welcome to the mad farm. There is often a kick back with anything that has got a built in deodoriser. Unfortunately you may have to start with a "Natural" product see the internet. You may then be able to work-up to an item off the shelf. Trial & error. Keep bleach out of the equation.

I only use all natural products that are made from real oil extracts.

Orange peel in a big old jar, cover with clear cleaning vinegar. Let it sit a few days then decant into a bottle of spray. It smells good and is very effective and can be used the bicarbonate of soda. The cleaning cloths are put damp into the microwave for 2m10s to destroy any germs / bacteria.
