Take a look at the hand sanitiser on EBay vittorio!Quite astonishing, a hand sanitising foam exactly the same as I buy for £2-50 had a BIN price of £1000.

Prices are varying a lot online but I can’t even find it in the shops. Soap will do fine. Xxxxx

I don’t know if Boots have stocks as yet, but when they do they’re going to limit them to 2 per customer.

Also, someone told me yesterday that Aldi are still managing daily deliveries but hardly get a chance to stock the shelves before it’s all sold out. 42p per bottle apparently 😁

It’s madness really but at least Aldi aren’t trying to rip people off.

Thanks for letting me know powderpuff. Take care xxxxx

I've not seen any in our Aldi but I do have a few larger and smaller containers, which I accumulate most winters.

I believe Aldi are pretty much selling out immediately Bkin. I think what you see in the shop is the extent of their stock - minimal floor space, daily deliveries & minimal business rates.

I'm buying multi surface anti bac wipes now too, the big ones for wiping things down at home and when out :D

Hand washing is as effective but while you are out and about make sure your antibacterial had gell ect has alcohol in it as aparently its that component that kills off corona virus. Keep well everyone x

in reply to corriena

Gell should be 75% alcohol I read somewhere. Disposable gloves is another option.

The trouble with disposable gloves is that they would carry a virus on them so you would still have the same risk of touching your face or nose or eyes

in reply to corriena

the procedure is, you place them straight into a plastic bag inside another plastic bag and then of course wash you hands thoroughly.

On another forum we've decided it will be cheaper and more effective to buy a half bottle of Vodka and just mix it with any hand gel - a little swig while mixing could be helpful too!!!

I won't be buying any rip off prices. Same with the masks they hiked the prices. Well I have 3 vog masks which are above N95 so I will use and wash at my own discretion. And the anti bacteria gels and foam I already have which I accumulate every winter will be used up and then I will just go to hand washing with soap, and wear cotton and vinyl gloves as needed when out. I did buy a supply of each of those recently but you can bet there will be panic buying on those too before long.

The hand gel they say should be 75% alcohol, not sure if mine is or not.

Antibacterial surface wipes are also selling out in local tesco, they were selling at £1 for 30 sheets. Toilet paper will be the next thing ho hum...... rediculous

Soap so much cheaper!

I use tea tree essential oil outside my home - it's anti-viral and anti-bacterial. I believe a while back trials using this were done with MRSA with good results.

Soap at home, sung to the Red Flag (being a socialist!!)

Price hike, that's capitalism for you. Never waste a good crisis.

Be careful because the gels have to be over 60% alcohol to deal with a virus. Boots is only 57%

Hi a scientist I came across on twitter says that 80% better. Also his research showed lasts on surfaces up to 5 days not hours! Possible to make your own sanitizer. He suggested 8:2 rubbing alcohol (99%) to aloe Vera gel

With small amount of water. Amazon do have rubbing alcohol ( isopropanol) at reasonable prices.
