Having myself a shower
Takes it out of me
It leaves me sitting breathless
In badly need of tea
There is another job to do
Which leaves me just the same
I know that when I've done it
I'll be treated with disdain
I try hard not to do it
But times come when I must
And if put it off again
It will lead to more disgust
So I prepare to do it
Get everything just right
Pretend I'm doing something else
Keep the tackle out of sight
Then comes the important part
From which I must not shrink
I grab my little wriggly dog
And shove her in the sink
