LVR Operation

Further back i wrote about my upcoming operation only to catch pneumonia over the new year and whether that would affect my proposed operation and the surgeon called me into hospital early check whether I was strong enough to undergo the procedure and true to form he cancelled it but kept me here to have plenty of antibiotics. He has now agreed to carry out the operation tomorrow. I've waited a long long time to get here so here's hoping for a good result and a brighter future.

I'm having LVR (lung volume reduction) on my left lung.

It's keyhole surgery and they will go through my side and afterwards I will have tubes coming out and be carrying a small box like machine which the tubes will be draining into.

Best wishes for tomorrow Will and hopefully that drain will be out in a couple of days and perhaps a few more days after that you will be home enjoying all that extra oxygen your body will be getting when your lungs are more efficient. :)
