Fed up wit h myself as feeling really rough before Xmas in hospital already but back there again with another chest infection and flu too!
Sent out needing oxygen (hopefully not for 2 long but being in hospital really takes it out of me. I know I'll feel better soon but it's such a hassle getting there. Fortunately my daughter is here fo the first day then carers and community nurses must be sorted. Not sure if I can actually get to bed as o yen machine is huge. I do have a smaller tank (8?) does anyone have one of these and finds it useful at night?
Also a bit of a pain getting sorted with pads but that will get better too.
Sorry to moan but it does get to me despite knowing that others here are much worse off.

Hospital isn’t where you want to be jocki but there isn’t always a choice. I do hope things start to improve for you and you can recover better at home.
My hubby Pete gets quite depressed in hospital so he can empathise.
Hi Sassy - How is Pete doing ? You are actually quite inspirational on this web site - and always look at your posts. I am on 7.5mg of prednisone (daily maintenance) and was wondering what dose Pete is now taking. hear from you when you have time. Thanks Dampier from NZ
Thank you for your kind words Dampier. Pete takes 10mg of pred each day as he feels he does well on that dose.
Hope all is well with you. Take care xxxxx
Moan away, jocki, we’re here to listen. Yes there’s always someone worse off but that doesn’t mean you’re not entitled to feel fed up. In my experience, Sundays are the worst days in hospital, very depressing.
Maybe you’ll be out before 2 weeks? If you’re on intravenous antibiotics, these can often be given by specialist nurses calling at your home so that could provide an escape. Much better than being in hospital. But if it takes 2 weeks, well it’s better for the drs to make sure you’re properly well this time. Also, you may not need the O2 for long either.
When I’m in hospital I’m always on my laptop, & I listen to music through my iPhone, read my Kindle, & just try to pretend I’m somewhere else. I’ve said before that I look on it as a short prison sentence, with a more comfortable bed & kind prison guards 😂
Hopefully Jocki the hospital will get on top of this and you will be home in next to no time. Hospitals are not a nice place to be but try to stay positive and just look forward to getting back to your own bed, thats the thjng I miss the most x
I really feel for you; but your coping strategies are amazing! I am so impressed by your ability to organise yourself so your pass the time in a constructive way in the hospital. Hoping things improve soon.
And what a wonderful group we have on this website. I was on it a quite a lot in July when I went through quite a difficult patch and now I am back on going through another difficult patch and people are so kind and supportive.
