I discussed this trial with my consultant recently but was advised that the criteria for selection for the trial had a very narrow window and that this procedure would and could be aimed at people with an emphysema with a highly inflammatory nature and sadly i didn't fall within that scope. But it is certainly worth other patients investigating if they would fit the bill. :)

It’s good to know that there are new procedures being trialled to help people with Copd. How effective they are and whether finance will be available to roll them out remains to be seen. If this procedure ends the use of inhalers it could be quite cost effective.

If anyone follows it up please keep us informed.
