Hi

I would have thought any medical condition that as a prognosis of survival of six months or less is deemed to be terminal?

Although this is normally associated with cancer,

There is no reason that it can not include other conditions.

As far as DLA/PIP is concerned there would need further studies.

Thanks mate I'm getting fed up hearing all these people who have been awarded esa and dla who don't need it this is why I'm asking our MP to change the rule and that people with lung conditions like COPD should be awarded

I was told by my hospital that as IPF has no cure,it is a terminal disease,I queried it with them as I was turned down for travel insurance by several insurance companies. The DWP only recognise terminal disease as less than 6 months,I think that is wrong, but I am a nobody,I just live with the fact that I will not live more than a few years, unless I qualify for a transplant, will speak to my consultant as due to see her next week.Sooki
