Interesting but i wonder how many trialists they killed with aspiration pneumonia before they got the right software development?

This could be a useful tool for technicians in alignment with current video fluoroscopy investigations but as a practical tool to actually help people with muscular and neurological conditions my jury is out on that one but thanks for the link 2 g's. :)

Wow, its amazing what technology is going on behind the scenes. It may or maynot help our Skis but am sure it will help alot of people out there, thanks for posting x

It could really help stroke patients with swallowing difficulties as the speech therapist would be able to see which bit of the swallowing process is failing and suggest exercises to improve function over time.

In my experience the Salts teams are often too quick to sign stroke patients off to a life of peg tube feeding and abandon most of their patients within the first 3 months, often only the carer has the patience to modify their diets and introduce a regime that gently brings the patient back to as near normal swallowing as their neurological damage allows.:(

Yes, as a dietitian that really annoys me. Food is so much more than just nutrition: it's a pleasurable experience, custom, socialisation, creative art, conviviality, bonding in family, culture, etc....
