Hello π
Last reply ten hours ago. I am assuming all is well. π
Hi there dear Itsmeagain1 and thank you for being concerned about me last month (or so).
Ive only just seen your post and in a peculiar way, i was flattered to think you had a certain amount of concern to ask about me. Thank you so much! I did have a few dodgy days but compared to others on here, i cannot grumble. Once again, thank you for your concern and I'm hoping that you are doing ok and avoiding anyone who has a cold etc. Best wishes.πΏπ
Bless u glad your ok I did have a chest infection tail end now I hope π thankyou for letting me know your ok you notice when fellow friends on here are not posting that often nice to know they are alright take care my friend π and happy new year
How rude of me ......... Happy New Year to you also!! πΏπ
Hi hun hope your in good health despite this dreadful virus dominating our lives hope your friend helping you get supplies as well as your son and your dad doing well take good care of yourself bit of luck it will disappear as soon as it came Jackie π
Hi there and I'm picking up on your very positive, upbeat vibes even though this πworld is becoming consumed by this dreadful virus. Good on you and no doubt you are doing as the Government has asked and confining yourself to your home unless you have a valid reason to go out etc etc. It's a very exceptional time now and at least for the next 3months +++. Obviously I can't visit my Dad and although we chat on the phone i do have a sinking feeling in my tummy, that at 94 years old and feeling he's been around long enough, that mentally he could quite easily throw the towel in, or so to speak. So sad π€¦ββοΈ My son has been outstanding in his caring for me and he's not allowing me to go further than our back garden .Enough of.me and mine π· π ... how's life at Chez Itsmeagain1 ?Hope you are not finding things too difficult now that the "panic shoppers" have calmed downπ€ !!!

My son goes shopping for me although my usually don't give a toss neighbours who normally rarely say hello one knocked once and asked if I needed anything I just about managed finding Β£3 for some soap I use my debit card so money not needed so my son left me some my daughter is a carer with end of life for people in a care home so told her to stay away she has enough on her plate I'm OK I'm a loner used to being alone glad your OK hope your dad do sent want to leave this world yet it will get better at least the sun's shining life's always better then keep safe π
Yep, trying to do everything properly as told by Government and funny you mention about cash and cards as i think that's another bit of advive on the tv :- to avoid paper money and coins because of the number of hands that could've touched them! Some neighbours are most weird ..... above me.for 3 years have lived a young mother who has an identical twin, her 7/8 yr old daughter and then I'd have to make a guess as to who else stays there due to the noise. Have never even spoken to them. But my neighbours to my left are good as gold and we do help each other out but don't live in each other's pockets.if you know what i mean. Nowt as queer as folk!!πΏπ
Lol so true I don't know about u but who wants to give a neighbour your debit card either can't win hun can we always here well for the next 3 mths at least if u want to message me π
Yes same as! God willing I'll be still live & kicking in 12 weeks time although just to put another gloomy glaze over everything π a senior Consultant on Bbc1 said that it now looks as though the 3 month isolation could well be extended, although they wont know until nearer the time. OMG!! πΏπ
Hi how are you doing I'm still shielding till the 30th June appantly how's your dad doing Jackie π
Hi there! Great to hear from you again. Well you kindly ask me about my Dad in his Care Home and I am so proud of the nurses, the care assistants, admin staff and on site management who have worked above and beyond the call of duty and the hard work has been paid back by no COVID-19 patients. Everyone has been tested on a weekly basis so that kept morale going. However it can't begin to make up for the Lockdown and no visiting policy. I never have heard many Dad so deflated and so tired of it all now. After all he is 94yrs old. My son,our dog πHazel have been out for the 1hrs exercise and have found new places for her to run about uninterrupted and luckily only never anyone about. I'm finding it all a bit harder this week especially now .I once loved sitting with my head in the shade and the rest in π Sun but this week.I've struggled with my breathing and could only manage 30-40.mins and that's my lot π©! How's life treating you just now? Do you find the air where you are has cleared up? The only complaint I have is with those blinking log burning bbq 's or folk who produce vast amounts of stinky smoke! Oh, I'm moaning like a proper idiot today!! Wishing you a good day and hope things aren't too bad for you. Stay safe.πΏππ
Bless I'm so glad your dad's care home doing so well my daughter is a night carer in a end of life care home so she knows first hand how vulnerable people are I'm struggling a bit I stopped smoking 10 weeks ago and u name it I'm having it from swollen ankles to sob headaches most of the time my sats have been good but I'm huffing and puffing nurse wants me to take water tablets after telephone call to her I told her I'm sob now I don't want to keep getting up π£ I'm waiting to see if the ruloyal Brompton will allow me to have my lungs steam cleaned believe it or not under general anaesthetic π¦ how's your health ?
We so sorry to hear about the awful time you are having but I remember that when I have up smoking, the Doctor and friends of mine, warned me about how your body will take all the time it needs to get used to no nicotine and some people with any respiratory issues or indeed heart issues, will take longer to start feeling "well" again. I was with the Brompton Hospital years ago and probably should ask to be re-refered and see if I'm a candidate for anything to help my now very severe COPD.. I'm under a great Respiratory Consultant at my local hospital but she can refer me back to RBH if she feels it's warranted. Have you had the procedure you mentioned, before or is it a fairly new advancement? πΏππ
It's a newish treatment but the lady who has had it done has a new lease of life I'm waiting to hear from royal Brompton to see if I'm a candidate try it ask for a referral why not I'm stage 4 I wish u luck keep safe I'm looking forward to being offered something to improve my life π
Oh its sounding like there maybe something the RBH can offer you, like the woman you mention. How fantastic would that be if it could help you too. Will you keep us up to date with how things are moving along for you? So here's to wishing you the very best π₯x. πΏππ
Thank you please ask your lung specialist for a referral as well why not if the doctors had their way we would just end up on more Meds and I don't think any of us should put up with that we all need something to look forward to and if theirs something to offer us a better life than we should be offered it please try speaking to your specialist π keep well Jackie
