In the USA the only type of insurance that will take you on would be a guaranteed life. The most you can get is $25,000.
I was fortunate to have purchased a 30 yr term about a month before getting my diagnosis. The company I work for offers up to 190,000 guaranteed life but I’ll have to die on the office floor to be eligible to receive it. If I’m no longer an employee it goes away or I can transfer it into a whole life insurance policy at an enormous monthly premium I never will be able to afford.
Insurance companies want to make money. Not insure one diagnosed with a progressive disease.
