Why do you think you might not be able to? You can still live a happy productive life etc. even if you have to do it a bit slower than others.

There are lots of chronic conditions such as diabetes, arthritis etc. and lots of people live with those and still have a good life. x

I've had IPF for two years and more or less still do everything I enjoy. Slower to me means getting breathless on exertion and having to rest/sleep more. Apart from that things tick along as they have always done.xx

I have lived with severe chronic asthma all my life and then received the COPD diagnosed last year. I knew something else had been going on for a while because it did not feel the same as my asthma. Although missing a lot of school, being in and out of hospital and coming close a few times, I would say my life has been fulfilling. I have good friends, 3 lovely boys, a caring husband and brilliant work colleagues. I had some other problems which meant I had to learn to sit up and walk again and eventually progress from wheelchair to stick and once I felt that bit was under control, after 9 years absence from the world of work, plunged back in. The body might be cronky but the brain is still sharp and it is important to try and stay positive and use it.

Many conditions are chronic. All about attitude maybe? Being positive?

Doing what you can to get fit and keep fit - walking, swimming - gentle exercise. Eat healthily. Drink plenty of water. Early nights, early morning walk etc, etc . . . .

That's the key , slowly exercise, walking , thinking positive, eating a good diet and fruit, never ever give up .🍀
