Growing well

All is growing well in the garden and is a sight to cheer you up on a damp miserable morning. Hopefully we will have a flaming June at some point this month and the rest of the climbers can come into full bloom. Have come back to bed and watching Trooping of the colour, the rain is affecting my rheumatoid so am taking it easy, well thats my excuse ha!

We live in hope of some real warm weather, I think it makes us bloom as well. Glad your pots are doing well x

Irene,if the guards parading today are half as neat, tidy and precise as your garden then their regimental sergeant major will be a very happy man.I love climbers and once the stragglers catch up and all is in full bloom it will be a sight to behold, get back under the covers now it ain't a very nice day.

Love Ski's and Scruff's x

Ha! I'm sure they would put me to shame skis, and would love to march in a parade, I can feel my feet going when I watch any military band strike up. As an ex army wife and part of the 14/20th Kings Hussars it brings back memories that never leave you, but will be happy to watch it on the telly for now, although the weather looks better down there than oop north (as you say). Bet scruffs wont be going out today either x

I can heartily recommend not marching behind cavalry or horse artillery regiments as the accumulation of horse mess on recently bulled boots makes one shed a lot of tears,in fact i can recommend not marching at all as it is a rather tedious pastime even with a good band lol :)

Scruff's has retired for the day on our bed. xx

Thank you Majt, yes I love the clematis, there is also honeysuckle but not doing too well and jasmine which has really took off. I planted some sage in between and that has done really well, its a different one to the others i have in pots and is great with chicken. I add it into most things, along with the other herbs. It has rained here most of the day and havent been out but feeling better, thank you x

Your clematis are lovely Izb1. I know it's damp and drear at the moment but I have to say that while some sun would be lovely, I would loathe a boiling hot summer like last year, as im just not able to go out. Last year I was in hospital (pneumonia) during the heatwave. At least each of the patients on my ward had their own fan! Only now getting back to how I was before - baking weather would set me back again.

Keep gardening! :)

Oh! no, I would imagine being in hospital in any heat must be dreadful, this country just doesn't cater for the comfort of people. I have found them to be too hot and stuffy on a normal day so goodness knows how you managed and being poorly too. I do have ceiling fans as I dont like to be too hot indoors and dont like aircon. I just love being outdoors so the garden is a pull. I hope you continue to feel back to normal for the rest of the year and have no more set backs x

Thanks Izb - Im doing pretty well, far better than I or anyone, family or NHS ppl, hoped. The fans were provided by the hospital btw in case I wasnt clear.

Still a bit scary though as improved health could go south at any moment so cant be complacent. But then we all live with that. Hope you're having a good day :) :)
