O what a stunning photo thank you for sharing. Have a good night and take care of yourself π Bernadette xx
Beautiful sunset, you have the perfect backdrop x
Congratulations on that photo. Nature at its finest Blackbird6. Thank you for sharing its beauty with us. x
Oh Blackbird, I'm late catching this post, and it's stunning! I don't know if anyone else has noticed that the sky/clouds have been undergoing some very beautiful changes over the past few years, or whether I'm the only nutcase who has always loved to look at the sky? Cloud formations are 'different' to how I've seen them over the past 65+ years, and the colours are brighter (sharper and more delineated)? I wonder if it's down to global warming....? π€π¬
It certainly is down to the effects of global warming I feel .
Yes the colours are brighter shapes more defined I remember as a child looking at the sky and finding shapes in the clouds as I'm sure everyone did .
I still do look at them often and taking pictures through a lens everything so much sharper...
The lines in this one used to mean that God had been ploughing his fields I'm not such a believer in god but I think my parents instilled this in me .
Like when it was thundering they used to say he was moving his piano round the parlour so we wouldn't be scared of the noise and if the lightning struck he was changing a bulb πππππ
Thunder for us meant that God was playing bowls (we weren't a religious family), but a good lightening storm meant that we would go into one of the (upstairs) bedroom windows, where we could watch the storm travel through the length of the Welsh valley we lived in. We were never afraid, and it was - what became part of - a great love and interest in all things 'Science and Nature'. My remaining siblings and I still have that love, but myself in particular. I love your lightening explanation - maybe it's the real one...? π ππ€£π
Awww I can hear that Welsh accent coming through π... I adore it π
I was raised in Scotland and saw many a great lightning storm through the years as a child and the youngest of 13 children I was a bit scared...we used to play ghost trains round the house an older sibling acting out horror stories in each of the 6 bedrooms ...then the rest of would conga through each room watching the enactment of each horror moment....as the youngest I was on the end of the conga line and suffered greatly as last on the line π¬π¬
Even now I still chase a storm if good enough we can drive to the local beach and watch the storms over the isle of wight we take a flask and enjoy the light shows ...
I'm dribbling on now ππ
Have a lovley day ππ
