It is now 12 days after my gallbladder op and I feel great. I actually got dressed yesterday ( well in a fashion) and my niece took me shopping. The pain I had in the top part of my tummy has now gone, so its onwards and upwards. I had a phone call from the hospital on Wednesday asking if I could go in next week for my sinus op, couldnt believe it, I have waited all this time and the call comes when I just wasnt feeling well enough to have another op , so I have had to refuse, just hope I dont lose my position in the queue. But the weather today has been wonderful, so I hope you have all had a happy Sunday, I have loved sitting in the sunshine and doing nothing for a change. Irene x

Happy Sunday
Excellent news about the gone with the wind pain and very wise to put off that sinus op and give yourself time to recover Irene,i am sure they will be able to slot you in quite soon and you could always offer yourself up for a cancellation slot as they often occur in the summer months when people have holidays planned.
Now enjoy the next few pleasant days promised buy our friends in the met office.
Ski's and Scruff's xx
Congratulations on a successful gall bladder operation a fortnight ago Izb1 and like you said, who would have thought, you'd be given a date for your long awaited sinus operation so soon after your gall bladder op? I think you were very wise to "put it on hold" until you are totally well enough etc. Do come back and let us know how you got on,won't you?
I’m so pleased you’re feeling better now but what a shame about your sinus op. You were right to turn that down though.
It’s been a lovely day here too and good to see the sunshine.
Hope you continue to do well. Take care. Xxxx 😘
Thank you sassy, Im just glad its over. How is Pete doing, give him my best x
Great news that your operation went well. Pleased you have enjoyed the day in your garden. Take care I'm sure you will hear again about your sinus op. Majt x
Thank you Majt, weather good for the week, so all good x
It's good to know you're feeling better. Like everyone has said, I think you did the right thing to postpone your sinus surgery. Operations take a while to recover from and to have another while you still weren't feeling great would put your body under a lot of stress. But what crazy coincidence you should get scheduled for one operation after the other. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long to get another appointment.
Good to know you’re recovering well Izb, take care not to rush it & enjoy the sun this week
Congratulations on such a successful op. It must be so hard sitting on your hands when you feel so much better. Hope the sinus op call comes soon, but far enough away for you to recover fully from this op.
Thats good news , take things easy and sorry about the sinus op but it will soon come round again. It is not ideal to have two operations so close together. More sun is on the way so enjoy while you can, remember one day at a time x
Sounds like the perfect day, Irene, feeling so much better, the op behind you, and relaxing in the sun. How lovely ☀️ You keep doing nothing for a bit longer now, till you’re fully better! Give your body its best chance of recovery 🌸🌿
Thanks Yatzy, difficult when you are feeling better, but I dont want any repair jobs so will be patient. The hardest part is no fats, frying, or dairy, when I do have anything like gravy yesterday, thats when the pain comes back.im sure it will settle down, over time x
Oh congratulations you got dressed or something other than pajamas. I’ve had to rid my body of gallbladder also. That was back in 2000 and there are certain things I still just can’t have to avoid excruciating pain . Vinegar or anything containing it as a preservative. Pickles are out of the question mostly just stuff we have in America. Make sure you keep on it though with your sinus op so you can get it done an out of the way. Get well fast
Thank you Sandyeggo . The stone I had was 27mm and the surgeon said it was embedded, so I put the pain down to the surgery, didnt realise alot of it was gas through the keyhole surgery, but have found certain things I eat cause this same pain, think its going to be trial and error, and of course your liver has to work twice as hard now so will be careful for the next month or so until I can work it out. Not looking forward to the sinus op as they will take the bend out of my nose at the same time as it is holding infections. Cant believe I was fine and well until I retired. Onwards and upwards x
