So, I just noticed a new shop in my town that sells hemp, or CBD, products. Here in the USA, marijuana has been legalized in many states, and may people say it helps for a variety of health issues. It is not legal in my state, but hemp is. The difference being THC content. My question is: I have heard that CBD can help with sleep. I am a terrible sleeper. Has anyone tried this? The stuff is not inexpensive, but I think I'm going to try it, because, as they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Hemp for sleep?
I’ve been tempted to get CBD oil for Petes pain but never have as yet. It may well help challny. Good luck to you. Xxxx
Haven't used that. I've recently started using Melatonin under tongue spray, which is improving my sleep, not getting to sleep but getting a little less disturbed night's sleep and a bit longer time actually asleep.
It only takes a small amount of CBD oil to relax you and has helped sleep, pain and maybe relaxing the airways. There are less expensive things for sleep, I use melatonin or homeopathic Calms Insomnia formula. They are all gentle, since I tend to get groggy on sedatives. Just get the smallest bottle if you want to try it.
yes it will help you sleep but the cbd should have a small amount of thc as well to make the whole thing work better to relax body and mind sleep well Gilles
I have tried it to help with pain from my osteoarthritis.
I bought capsules from a reputable brand ( Healthspan) and the strongest they sell and it was quite expensive.
I did not notice any discernible difference to my arthritic pain but think I felt calmer. I think they're certainly worth trying. I've used Melatonin for jet lag as it's recommended too.
I think the best way to sleep well instead of taking anything is to get tired from exercise and being generally busy, cut out caffeine from lunchtime onwards, sleep in a cool dark room with a window open. Works for me most nights.
Happy sleeping
