I wrote about a week ago to say I had to go into hospital to have my lung washed out under sedation. Well I got to the hospital on Wednesday and was put into a gown and then 2 surgeons came in to talk to me in case I had any concerns or questions I wanted answered, or so I thought. No it was to tell me they had decided it would be to dangerous to go ahead with the procedure due to my oxygen requirements so I was free to go home. All that fear and worry for nothing. At first I was just so relieved but now of course I am left with this awful cough and still have the problem of shifting all this phlegm with no answers.

Procedure cancelled
Oh No, how awful for you Hun. You must feel so Dissapointed. I also have to have a "Wash n Rinse" by extracting my "Valves" and reinserting them as they are not working as well as before. I may end up like you, I would be so Angry, Have to Have a CT Scan First to Warrant the Procedure, Stay Strong Hun. Love n Hugs xxxxx
I have to say that because I use oxygen 24/7 I was concerned as to whether I would be able to be given sufficient while one lung was blocked or whether I would run into difficulties so from that point I was relieved to be turned away but I now have to wait and see if physio can help with this phlegm problem. Hopefully eventually they may give me some relief.
I was on Oxygen when I had my Procedure last Jun. I am still on Oxygen, this time 16 hours and not the 24/7. So I hope they can get passed that, they are the professionals. Want it to Work, as I am no longer on the Transplant List. These Valves are imperative to allow me a while longer to have some quality of life. Have a Good day & Weekend Hun. xxxx
Hello gingermusic .
I can imagine your relief after building yourself up for this and also now your misgivings. I kind of wish they had told you before you went in. Sending hugs and love.
