Hi Thomsk, I managed to read the letter and understand the worsening of your emphysema but not much else.

I do wish you well with whatever the medical profession have planned for you. Take care xxxx

Hmmm..... so.... there was some kind of crisis in 2009, (pneumonia?) and you had a CTPA which showed you had some kind of pneumonia and pulmonary emboli? And they resolved? But you have Emphysema in your upper lobe? You also have an interstitial lung disease, which is usually fibrotic, hence the doubt around the disquamative interstitial pneumonia diagnosis because DIP does not usually develop into fibrosis. So they are querying a different diagnosis. And there are complications because you have a couple of nasty autoimmune disease(s) that end in -algia, which haven’t been properly assessed because they haven’t done the blood test. But you don’t have hepatitis or HIV. Heavens be praised!

Phew.... that was exhausting and I am not even the patient. Just don’t let me loose on your CT scan. That would be serious brain overload.

One knackered Kate and a totally bewildered Zebra 👵🏻🦓

P.S. I think you should join the Zebra (rare disease) club with all those things in your lungs that none of us have heard of.

Hi Kate

I am able to read the letter reasonably clearly on my iPad.

The -algias are "arthralgias" and " myalgias" and it says in the letter that he has developed these since his last MDT review and that he will be seen by their Rheumatology colleagues on Wednesday.

That's all that's visible but the letter doesn't end there.

Hope you're ok

Corin
