Copd test.

I am having my cold text tomorrow, what questions should I ask.

What is a cold test ?

I assume they mean copd test ie a spirometry. x

Hi if you are diagnosed with copd ask what your lung function is (percentages, not decimal) and ask what stage you are at.

Also ask if you can be referred to PR (Pulmonary Rehabilitation) which is a 6 - 10 week course where you learn exercises tailored especially for your condition. There is usually a respiratory nurse as well to answer any questions.

Ask for a rescue pack usually consisting of ab's and maybe steroids which you can keep at home in case you can't get to the doctors straightaway, and get informed of when you need to use them.

You will also need a flu jab and a pneumonia one too. If you are newly diagnosed you should also get a chest x-ray. x

I would ask what form my copd is. Also if you are young or never smoked i would ask for a alpha 1 antitryipsin test. And everything hypercat54 has said
