Hi Emily, I haven't tried either of those so can't speak from experience, but they have been mentioned on here, and I believe some members have found them helpful.

Try putting 'acupuncture' in the Search HealthUnlocked box (top right of the page) then select 'My communities' under Filter results. This will bring up older posts on BLF that mention acupuncture. You could then do the same to search for tai chi.

I hope you find something helpful. :)

I am now learning Tai Chi basically due to the fact that my arthritis is that bad that I cannot do my more aggressive exercise programme. I find it does help with my breathing control and is very relaxing.

That is what I was thinking... It is low impact but moves and strengthens muscles. And breathing exercises 😃

Morning Emily. I did Tai Chi in one of the Rehab Classes as one Nurse could teach us at the end of the Rehab Class, it was so Relaxing. I don't know about Acupuncture, but by other Comments it may be worth trying. Give it a Try Chic. xxxx

You better not let your husband find out your valentine is picking you up. 😊

Morning Emily, I do Tai Chi and find it a help. I can feel the physical difference when I have been doing it regularly and it gives me an emotional boost too! (I have Asthma and Bronchiectasis). Good luck in whatever you try.

Hi Emily61, I have had acupuncture for spinal problems and the physio showed me how to clear my sinuses by stroking my toes (sounds ridiculous but it works). I have tried Tai-chi and enjoyed it but it did not help or hinder my asthma/breathing, I found it totally relaxing. Why don't you try them and if they are successful, come back and tell the forum. Good luck and take care. Maximonkey

Right stroking your toes do explain

It really is worth trying these things as fellow sufferers have found great benefit. I enjoyed Tia Chi until I became too unwell and it is amazing.

Thank you

Could you never do tai chi again

Since we moved house the nearest class is several miles away but I question if I am able to do it again. I only have 23% projected capacity and find simply getting dressed a challenge these days.
