Good morning all. I haven’t been on here for a few weeks as I have had a replacement left hip fitted. Since the operation I seem to be coughing more first thing in the morning. The coughing is subsiding a bit now. I hope to be posting things on here again soon. Hope everyone is ok. Best wishes. 👍🤓

Greetings.
It’s good to see you 👍 Been missing you and your great gardening exploits 🌸🌼🌺 I hope you continue getting better and look forward to seeing you around here more. Best wishes to you too 🌻
Best wishes to you too and hope you feel better soon. Take care. Xxxxx
Hi Hun, good to see you Back. I too had the left Hip replaced many Years ago, I tend to forget my Titanium Bio Limb, unless I go through the Airport. Get Better soon and as November is Mild, we may still have some little Bloomers to Show. Love n Hugs XXXX
Aaah! No flower pics! Ha! When I saw your name, I expected flowers 🌸🌺🌼🌻🍀🌿
I wondered where you’d been hiding. Well done on hip replacement. I hope it works well for you. The extra coughing might be the gen anaesthetic?? So should improve as time goes by. They take a bit of getting over, I think. Anyway, sounds as though you’ll be good to go very soon. All the best 🌹
Sorry the cough has been worse but how lovely to have a new hip. Happy gardening days ahead xx
Best wishes for recovery Rosieboy, you have undergone quite an invasive procedure and naturally your body will take some time to recover, indoor gardening for the immediate future i would imagine and i expect with your horticultural talents you have quite a few floral delights to look after.
Ski's x
Ouch, hope you get used to the new hip soon and get to enjoy pain free walking. Next summer you should be good as new for the gardening season - how on earth did you manage before?
Regarding the cough, did they put a tube down? Could be sore and tickled down there. Don't hesitate to see the GP will you, just a quick listen to your lungs to make sure there's no infection settling in. In the mean time, plenty of fluids to flush out the anaesthetic from your body. Warm lemon & honey to soothe the throat. Good luck Roysieboy. P
Hello peege. Thank u for the reply. Although it is still sore, the pain has gone. I keep looking at the garden and wish it would shut itself down for me. I think u learn to live with the pain. I not sure about having a tube put down. I think it was where they did not intend to give me a general anesthetic until I had the epidural and then started to come to during the operation. I will c how it goes and if it persists then c the doctor. Thank u for ur thoughts. x👍🤓
Glad to hear your op went well and you will be ready to rock around the christmas tree.....and sod the honey and lemon, a nice hot toddy will do the trick and you have a good excuse to have one!! And lastly....get growing some hemp for any pain relief lol xx
Cheers Suki. I will try my hardest. I like playing bowls, something I can’t do at the moment. I am going to the bowls club on Wednesday, that will cheer me up. See my mates. Thank u for the best wishes and good luck to u. 👍🤓
Hello Roysieboy .
Good to see you again. We've missed your beautiful flowers. I hope you are steadily on the mend. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Cas xx 🙋🌸
Thank u Cas. Early days yet but it is getting easier. Thank u for the good wishes.x👍🤓
Sometimes you are put in a position on the operating table where your head is lower than the rest of your body. This happened to me once, and all the gunk in the bottom of my lungs started shifting towards the top. As it was about 6 months after I'd given up smoking there was a lot of gunk to clear. As you say you're coughing more in the mornings, maybe your op started a similar process, and when you're lying down asleep, more is getting a chance to move up and out of your lungs. All the best.
Hi there👋👋hope you feel better with the coughing and are mobilising much better soon with the new hip.
