Pain killers
Hi Fiona, Pete takes Gabapentin for pain but they don’t work as well as they used to. Speak with your doctor again. Good luck to you. Xxxx
Hi if your GP as run out of ideas and tried various medications then perhaps you need specialist help. Ask for a referral to a pain consultant. They will look at all aspects and give recommendations as to treatment. In my wife's case she went on a pain management course which was one day a week for 8 weeks. She found it very helpful not only for pain but for advice on pacing exercise etc.
Ask your gp. To refer you to a specialist pain management team. Hope that helps. Good luck. Sorry for your suffering. XXX
Hi Fiona no one has to endure pain there his something for it you have to get out there and sort it start with GP today ask for referral if he cannot help And remind him no one has to suffer pain today. Take care and good luck xxx
Yes, I found that different pain killers stop being effective after a while. My latest combination, etodolac and cocodamol have been working very well for several years now, so fingers crossed they continue to do so.
