Dryers and washing machines might be fine,
But I like to see washing out on the line.
And that’s my rhyming for today.
Cos I can’t think of owt else to say.

I love the fresh smell of washing that has dried outside on a line .It’s lovely to get into a bed made up with sheets that still have that outside dried smell on them 😊
Brilliant! Short but sweet. One time I had a book of short poems, they were all very clever, two have stuck in my mind all these years:
I’m rich! I’m rich! I’ve just been told
That I’ve got a heart of gold.
I might sell it, but I doubt it,
Don’t think I could live without it.
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
The best use for a crocodile skin
Is to keep a crocodile’s insides in.

My washing machine there is no doubt
Is something I couldn’t be without.
Drying outside is the right thing to do
Providing it doesn’t soak right through
Rain rain go away
Don’t come on my washing day! ☔️💦 xxxxx

Our neighbour usually has washing out, if the weather is suitable. I sit at my computer and watch it blowing in our upland gales. Doesn’t feel right if I can’t see it. Something is not quite right with the world.

Wonderful sight that, washing swaying In the breeze, in the sunshine, held up by the clothes prop.
I too love to have washing on the line. Love your garden
Strange isn't it. When you see photos of the slums back in the 1930s, say, the sight of snow-white sheets hanging across the streets lifted the whole picture as it must have done the for people living there.
