Hi all, picking your brains again. I am on 02 at 5 lpm 24/7 and will eventually be housebound
In the meantime I have liquid oxygen with 3 flasks I can fill and take out which give me about 1.5 hours each and a compactor for home use and sleep. I understand that there is a Devillbis home compactor possibly others which give 5 lpm continuous and will run on car lighter socket and is light enough for me to lift in and out poss not easy but doable. The whole idea is to stay mobile as long as possible, to be able to drive somewhere, stop and wander to the extent the flasks allow and drive home using the devillbiss or other suitable machine in the the car. Would love to hear how you solve your or others mobility problem, any suggestions, ideas, thoughts, info, very gratefully received
with thanks
yours

The two available transportable models only give 3lpm continuous
The DeVilbiss IGO portable oxygen concentrator. A small and lightweight device weighing in at 8.6kg, delivering up to 3lpm of continuous flow oxygen and 6lpm pulse on demand oxygen.
The SeQual eQuinox is the newest, quietest, and most advanced portable concentrator on the market.
The Equinox weighs just over 6kg (14lbs) providing oxygen user with continuous flow from 0.5lpm - 3lpm and pulse on demand mode of 1-6lpm.
The Equinox unit is a third lighter and 33% smaller than other 3 litre continuous flow units available.
Featuring auto SAT technology capable of monitoring oxygen users breathing and guarantees a maximum dose for each breath. )
Hi, thanks for the info. In truth I was more considering the possibility of using one intended for domestic use but straping or jamming it in the back of the car . to increase my possible opportunities for days out or more but I need one to deliver 5lpm, allow me to sleep and run off car electrics. Question is does a suitable machine exist ?
There is non that will run of 12volts and deliver 5lpm continuous.
However with a bit of ingenuity a static unit can be installed to the right vehicle ( Estate or van derivatives mpv ) can be connected to a hardwired ( direct to battery) inverter supplying 240voltage.
Would have to be discussed with a auto electrician for feasibility, an Safety aspect.
A motor home specialist may have some knowledge. Worth a chat to keep you out and about.
Just a point can you not use pulse dose delivery when mobile.
