Being a big fan of Lindy-Loo and an equally big fan of British Columbia having visited many times i am most concerned my lovely lady and i'm afraid your fires have been somewhat overshadowed by your American cousins in California.i have been trying to keep track and am deeply disturbed by the chaos and loss of life and habitat in such a beautiful place.

i hope you are personally safe and well dear Lindy as we haven't heard from you for ages.

Oh Skis just trying to breath. I go out with an 95 mask only if I have to. Most days are spent indoors, windows shut, doors shut, air con on, and two air purifiers b/c the heat can be unbearable low to mid 30's!! Some what cooler today.

And lets just say the nebulizer is getting a work out. 😲 How is my fave dude anyways? I heard from Melly today although it was written 12 days ago! I sent him some links to a you tube video of the whales misbehaving (not really) in BC. Beautiful! Stunning pics. If you like, I will email them to you. ❤ Take care buds xx

Hi fellow west coaster. The air is most foul here too. The west seems to be burning. It's a tad better down here today. Finally able to leave door a crack that cats might have a bit of sun.

Strange isn't it to wear a mask in your own home just to breathe. My garden has suffered by my being unable to water and like you I'm hoping it rains soon.

I'm on the east side of Washington state. We're burning, as are Idaho, Oregon and of course you in BC. I hope you have some coastal breezes? And of course it's also harvest, so lots and lots of dust.

I totally disagree with the few who say global warming is a hoax. Each year it's hotter here, and year after year I watch the soil in my garden literally crack open from the lack of moisture. I hope you are safe. Maybe if we both do a little rain dance... a one - wheeze, a two - cough...

Cannot quite understand how all of this is a "hoax". I think all know who started the "hoax" bad joke, if you will. For heaven's sake, It is climate change, in fact, even as a child I saw subtle changes. They say that this will be the new normal! God help us all! These things will definitely have long term affects on everything from farming to tourism. It is so sad. I saw a clip on the news where a poor little otter in a zoo had developed asthma b/c of the fires and has his puffer that the keepers have to administer to him. 😢 poor little dude...perhaps set him free!

Anyways...*sigh* I think I'm ranting! It's going to rain this weekend, at least here. I do hope you get some rain where you are. Whatever the outcome, we have no control. So pray for rain or sure, we could do a dance that is, if we don't exert ourselves! 😄

The smoke has been horrendous here too. We are in Calgary, Alberta and this is one of the worst summers on record for smoke. Originally from Victoria and family there says the island has fires burning near Nanaimo. I just hope it clears out soon, and yes, rain would be fantastic 😎

I just saw the newscast... there is a shift in weather coming. This Thurs. there's showers and in fact, all weekend is supposed to be cool. This will help significantly! I sure hope the same holds true for you guys too. It has been hell hasn't it? Take very good care x

I live in NW Washington and way down here we're actually getting ash! It's horrible, haven't been able to walk my dog due to the bad air quality. Of course we are also fighting other fires down here, do we are just getting blasted. God bless all of you up in BC, hopefully this will be under control soon.

God bless you too. Try an 95 mask when you and poochie go walking. Amazon has them and it filters out 95% of particulates outside so your not breathing all 100% of the harmful stuff! . My neighbor's wearing a mask INSIDE

I thought I'd give you all an update on Northwest Washington. Yesterday, they announced that our air quality was even WORSE than in BC! How insane is that? As a matter of fact, our quality was worse than Bejing!!! We ALL know how horrid the air is there. It makes me wonder how those communities can survive? Its heartbreaking to learn that kind of information, whether here in the US, BC or Bejing. We're all humans (not forgetting our wildlife, pes, ect) and we NEED sir to survive. I also have to wonder if, as the years pass by, will their respiratory systems change (or adapt) to the poor quality in order to survive?

Sorry, I went off track & began rambling again! Just one more item, today the quality where I live went down to #35 (scale of air quality where anything above a #150 is when you're advised to wear a mask and remain indoors) from a #195!! I had a very rough day yesterday as I'm caring for 2 active grandsons (7 and 14), staying indoors was a challenge! My eyes were burning and it felt almost as though I was choking.

Stupid Trump...he is a huge problem to the entire world! Don't get me started...but I will say, things look as if their closing in on him. Coal??!! Are you kidding me? The air quality is really good (fri) Thank you Lord! First time out in 10 days! I have my little grandson on Monday so I really hope we can get outdoors. 8 hours of boredom with granny just won't do🙄

So glad to hear your air is getting better. Who would have thought we would pray for rain? This is the great N.W. after all.

I have a.c. and 2 air purifiers going. It is working fairly well. Maybe invest for next year...this seems to be the new norm as they say. Take care and stay in! Or Don't breath 😥

Hope it all gets better soon for you, I feel for you, everyone else there and all the animals. Global warming is here, I know how bad it is getting in Australia and the UK has had an exceptionally hot dry summer. What have we done to the world? I wish for rain for you!

Boy you said it! What a mess we have made of it! Our beautiful world! Sad isn't it? A big, irreversible mess for our kids and grandkids. 😢 Australia has it's share of fires as well, heat too. Stay safe! Got 2 air purifiers, and an air con going while being on house arrest due to this!

I so agree with you!! We have done/created all of this. It took our governments (at least here in the US (and now we have to deal with Trump who is repealing so many of our environmental bills, which going backwards is just STUPID) far too long to act to protect our forests, wildlife, ect. I'm very scared for our environment over here. God bless us ALL!!

It's a miserable dull damp day after a night of rain, everything is wet and horrible and I've been moaning about it all morning but after reading the posts on this I'm so thankful I'm in wet NE Scotland. I'm so sorry for the predicament you are all in as a result of the horrendous fires in your various countries. I hope you got the rain you need so badly and one thing for sure I'll try not to moan about the rain here anymore! Wishing you rain and more rain.......all the best ☔️
