Hi Willanna and welcome I would be similar..on loads of steroids and antibiotics at moment but can't blame all on copd as I also have asthma and and bronchiectasis plus asbestos in lungs may I ask if you have some other lung problem but overall your best to talk it over with a medical person if think.Ger

Hi Willanna my dad has had a few infections but not as many as yourself- keep using sanitiser and avoid anyone who seems to be coming down with a cold. Obviously you can get an infection without going out but anything to try and prevent one is a big help. Have you been hospitalised from the infections? X

Hi i don't blame you there's no place like home to recover hospitals sometimes are places to catch infections! My dad had to stay in sometimes up to a week as he retains co2 and wear what can only be described as an iron mask. Hope you are looked after by family and friends take care x

Has the doctor sent off a sputum sample for you? I had loads of infections - one after the other - but have been better since my antibiotic was changed after sending a sputum sample. Might be worth asking your GP to do that for you if you haven't already. xx Moy

Hello there. Yes I get loads of chest infections. I’m currently on my second lot of antibiotics and steroids in two weeks. My worst year was a few years ago when not a single month went by without me being on antibiotics and steroids. Thankfully I’ve only been hospitalised once although the threat crops up from time to time. I tend to refuse too.

Do you have a lung specialist? If you have a consultant you can contact for an appointment, they are the best people to answer your questions and get any further investigations done. If you don’t then I would ask to be referred to one ASAP. You should be under someone with copd I would have thought? I don’t have copd, I have bronchiectasis, brittle asthma and inhaled allergies coming out the whazoo. I have other things too but not related to the lungs.

Hope you’re feeling better soon.

Pamela
