Time for gratitude and not sympathy 😃

2 years ago today I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis!!! As we know, it is not curable but medication can be taken to help you live a fairly normal life but in true Lynne style I developed a rare version of it, hence major lung problems!!!!

I have suffered some very dark days and most days I experience some sort of struggle - mentally/physically 😫

However due to my wonderful family (real and honouree) and some extremely supportive friends I have also enjoyed many good days too.

However these past 8 days I have enjoyed life more than I ever thought I would again!!!! I decided to embrace my 50th Birthday (6th) rather than ignore it. I'm having a birthday month 😃 Xx

I am proof that even the darkest days can change to the light xx❤️xx

I know that due to my illness I still have many dark days ahead of me but I also know there are good times ahead too ❤️❤️❤️❤️🌸

Happy birthday Lynne. I know exactly what you mean and although there are always dark days they are what we make them. I have decided to embrace my inner child and have as much fun as possible! Yesterday I had the best time on the adventure playground at the New Forest wildlife park with 2 of my grandchildren! I got some funny looks but hey I loved it and the grandchildren thought I was hilarious but cool! I'm paying for it today but that's ok as we are driving back home to Carlisle so I can rest up whilst hubby does the driving! Have fun for the rest of this month and many many more to come!

I too was diagnosed with RA and unable to take the meds for it due to immunity problems. When an RA attack flares up it is very difficult to walk, no energy, sometimes fever. Between this and lung infections it can be very challenging but everytime I feel a tiny bit better I grab my 15 year old timberwolf and we go on a road trip whereever we choose to. This time as soon as I was off anribiotics, prednisone and able to breathe good enough we took off for the upper NW corner in Washington by Canada and the ocean. I am here now and it is soooo beautiful is fills my soul full of gratefullness, love, and joy. And my bad days, weeks, and months, make me appreciate life fully when I am ABLE to get out there. Hang in there and know that people care. I will be 56 in 5 days so am doing this trip to celebrate Ive made it this far. I like the idea of having a birthday month!! Hugs n love and good things to come hopefully.😎💪🤘👣❣
