Well the day my daughter and granddaughter leave to start a new chapter in their lives is tomorrow they are coming for their dinner tonight , I know they will be well looked after up there but that won’t stop missing them desperately and loving them so much , they won’t know how I feel as I have managed to keep it all locked up inside I will allow myself to cry once I know they are there and safely installed in their new house until then I shall be bright and breezy and happy happy happy 😊 thank you for listening xxxx

You will be doing well to keep everything inside. I would be hopeless but would be wishing them well and smiling through the tears.

You will soon be seeing them again I’m sure and will always be in contact.

Be brave and enjoy dinner. Xxxx

Oh I so feel for you as I’m in a similar situation. My daughter who's been really supportive since my diagnosis now lives 3 1/2 hours away. It was hard to see her leave but I knew the move was really good for her. And we talk a lot which is great. My son lives abroad but visits as often as he can and although my other daughter lives locally, she suffers from a few worrying health issues herself, sadly.

What helps me is to use all the different media to stay in touch, Facebook, Messenger or WhatsApp, texting and video calls and sharing photos with each other too. It really makes such a difference! So hope you can stay strong, I will keep my fingers crossed for you x

I live far away from my mum cales , I know how heart breaking it is. But it makes every meeting ever more sweeter. 😊 *Big hug* xx 🌸

I know how you feel! I have two daughters: one lives in Canada after living in Australia for many years! She moved to Canada from Melbourne as she thought we would see more of each other! My other daughter has just finished working in Bangladesh and before that Qatar! Now working in New York! I just have to tell myself that they have their own lives and I have to get on with mine, which I try to do! However, each time we separate it makes me so sad! Keep on being happy!

You could always Skype or what's app on your mobile or computer/tablet that way you will get to see them feel like they are there with you. I Skype every fortnight to say hello

Dear Cales,

That is hard yes..and so good of you to keep a brave and happy face till they go. I am sure they won’t mind if you shed a tear, they probably will too.

My Bea has been coming and going over the years. I get used to having her back home and she is off again leaving the nest..

We are so lucky to have all those internet connections these days so we can keep in touch.

Thinking of you x
