Call if you need us

What is the matter with all these people. District nurses charity nurses respiratory nurses GPs all say the same. Call if you need us. If I could actually call you I wouldn't need you so I end up with no help. You really need to rethink how you deal with patients with severe breathing difficulties because believe me calling you when we're desperate is not an option.

That’s true Patsyann especially for those who live alone. Maybe an emergency call system like those that are in assisted living apartments or that people wear on their wrists. There must be an answer but who would pay?

Have a good day. Xxxx

Good idea Sassy. If people were attended to earlier they might not get as ill and maybe it would save money? Something needs to be done for people with lung disease who live alone. Perhaps something the BLF could take up?

Totally agree O2. Xxxx

Prevention is the key you are right but I think in view of NHS budget cuts, low staff ratio and low morale, they are barely coping. I have been watching that Ambulance programme. Thank goodness for those paramedics taking care of those elderly people because it is a disgrace to be left alone in that state.

Hi. Sorry to say. It's not just people with breathing probs who are at best left to deal with as best they can in a idea world there would and should be care to those that need but I just feel like I am on my own it's good for me as well for now that I live with someone but I have always taken responbility for my care and if I can I do what as to be done. But. My ex partner and me are parting so very soon I will be back to being totally self suffient Iam ok with this for now what with the winter over but. Thought of doing a winter alone really does. Concern me she as said I can come back If and when but I know in my heart this would not be right Ive taken over her life with my illness and I only want to be cared for by some who does with a good heart or not at all she cannot just accept that when Iam struggling which is on- off most of day when trying to do basics that it stresses her. She as been brillant in the past but. We are done it's just a case now of getting back to my place and getting settled in on my own Try to stay on top of things. Fluids food at hand and look after yourself.
