Anyway Iโm after suggestions, recommendations or pointers to any walking based โAppsโ, iphone based, that can monitor and record data from country strolls, excursion down to the shops and general where have I been and at what pace.
Iโve trued a couple, one just shouted faster faster and tried to sell running shoes, nik what I was looking for, and the other one was just a bit too, pasty.
So to sum up, any suggestions for map based timing apps that are not to pushy for a guy with COPD.
Thanks for your time, Iโm looking forward to your replies, Simon ๐
If you can afford one get a fitbit does not have to be the most expensive they start quite cheaply. I have one and its great tells me how many steps I have taken in a day how many hours I have slept or been awake in the night, my heart rate etc. I thought it was well worth the money.
I spent most of yesterday looking at and comparing, mulling over this and that.. oh and for a few quid more it does this and... wow it can monitor how healthy my sleep is, print out a map of my route.... and hold over 3000 songs ๐ค๐
Fascinating how technology for all this is stored and actioned from such a small device on the wrist, I bet 50 years ago you couldโve strapped it to the side of a rocket and it would have found the moon ๐๐
Any way still undecided but I feel as though Iโve had a great mental workout ๐ค
We have a facebook group for people with copd (various stages) & have a Fitbit. I set challenges for us all & we encourage each other to be as active as possible facebook.com/groups/1587237...
