Just wanted to thank you all for your advice and support when I was feeling so down the other day. I can't say I'm completely out of the woods yet but I'm not quite so desperate as I was.
I'm still coughing, huffing, and fluttering. I'm exercising a bit every day and trying to do all the things that will help me feel better. I need to see my GP I think. I'm sure there must be more help available for me to be able to cope better than this. The rattling in my throat is constant and stops me getting to sleep, I wake up breathless so I'm reluctant to go to sleep but exhausted.
I just wish I could look forward to a better quality of life.
Kind Regards to all.

Hi Patty-Ann, fingers crossed you get on that course.
I waited nearly 3 years before a consultant suggested Pulmonary Rehab for me, and when I eventually got on it and done it last summer, it really was worth the wait.
Patty Ann. Go to. Your last post. I replayed but. I wanted to re read your lazy post where you was. Struggling well I sent reply to this post. On your last one. Twice.
I read your replies but didn't get around to answering every one. I'm still not out of the woods,, had a bad day today but trying to stay positive and hopeful of some relief soon. Everything seems to take so long with the NHS, don't they realise that every day of struggling to breathe is torture for us. Trying to get an appointment at the surgery is so frustrating. 'No appointments left for today, phone back at 8am tomorrow!' It's ridiculous, no wonder people opt for A&E. I was offered phone appointment which isn't any use when I need to have my chest listened to! I seem to be left to medicate myself without the knowledge of whether I have an infection or not.
I'm glad you are a bit better, but I think you are right in seeing your doctor again. Not being able to get a decent night's sleep will make you more tired and not help your condition.
I truly hope you will get more help and advice from the doctor. Sending warm wishes.
Hi patty-ann, so pleased you are feeling in a better place now, its hard when your are feeling down and coping with feeling ill at the same time, but a postive attitude can help you come on in leaps and bounds, you just need the right help now. Get back to your gp and if she cant help you ask to be referred to a specialist, in the meantime you can phone the blf helpline and talk to them, i am sure they will have heaps of advice, along with members on this site. Keep your chin up. Irene x
